Scranton, PA - Cabrini College's Desiree Umosella scored once in each half, each time off an assist from Lynda Kaufmann, as the visiting Cavaliers topped host Marywood University 2-1 in CSAC field hockey action Wednesday afternoon in Scranton. The win puts Cabrini above .500 at the year at 5-4 (1-0 CSAC), while the Pacers slip to 3-4 (1-1 CSAC).

Marywood's Emily Wentzel (East Earl, PA) opened the scoring just under 25-minutes into the game when she scored her second goal of the year off an assist from Caitlin Hadzimichalis (Harmony, NJ). Though Cabrini out-shot the Pacers 17-8 in the opening half, the Cavaliers could not find the back of the cage until Umosella scored with just over two minutes remaining in the opening half on Kaufmann's first assist of the day.

With the scored tied at half and even play throughout much of the second half, Cabrini got the break they needed just over three minutes into the second half on Umosella's game-winning tally.

Jennifer Miller (Hawley, PA) picked up 20 saves on the day to keep Marywood in the game until the end. Cabrini's Caitlin Donahue picked up the win after making 11 stops on the day.

Marywood returns to action Saturday when the Pacers travel to Gwynedd Valley to take on Gwynedd-Mercy College at 1:00 pm in CSAC action.
