BOX SCORE

Clarks Summit, PA - Marywood University's offense came alive scoring six goals as the Pacers defeated Philadelphia Biblical University 6-0 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action Saturday afternoon in a game played at Baptist Bible College due to poor field conditions at Marywood.

This year's Pacers needed all of eight games to set a new school record for wins in a season, upping their mark to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in CSAC play. The loss drops the Crimson Eagles record to 3-5 on the season and 1-1 in conference play.

Marywood opened the scoring in the 25th minute as freshman Brett Megee (Easton, PA) scored his first collegiate goal off a feed from Lee Powers (Lock Haven, PA).

Anthony Kapp (Duncannon, PA) matched Megee's feat with the first tally of his young career with just 51 seconds remaining in the opening half to give Marywood a 2-0 lead heading into halftime. Chris Rodzewich played a thru-ball to Kapp, who calmly finished to the near post.

Megee extended the Pacers lead in the 59th minute by dribbling through the center of the Crimson Eagle's defense and beating goalkeeper Dave Simon on the breakaway.

Just over five minutes later, Alex Dawson (Binghamton, NY) took a perfect thru-ball from Jordan Krawitz (Shavertown, PA) and slid the ball just inside the far post for his goal of the season.

The rout continued in the 78th minute when Nathan Wenger (Lititz, PA) intercepted an errant back pass and scored on the one-on-one opportunity against Simon.

Marywood closed out the scoring with just 49 seconds to play as Todd Switzer (Town Hill, PA) scored on a one-time volley off a cross from Richard Fifi (Trinidad and Tobago).

The Pacers finished the afternoon with a 16-11 edge in shots while the Crimson Eagles had a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Jared El-Gayeh (Baldwin, NY) made five saves to notch his second shutout of the season. Simon finished with eight saves in the Crimson Eagles' net.

Marywood will next be in action on Wednesday when they travel to Johnson City, NY for a non-conference game against Davis College. The Pacers and Falcons will kickoff at 4:00 p.m.
