Scranton, PA – Six Marywood University players reached double-digit points as the Pacers dealt Cabrini College their first Colonial States Athletic Conference setback of the season with an 89-85 triumph on Thursday evening. With the win, Marywood improves to 10-4 on the season, reaching the 10-win plateau for just the second time in program history and first since the 2004-2005 campaign.

Cabrini led for the much of the first ten minutes of Thursday evening's contest, stretching their advantage to 21-13 on a Glen Washington three-pointer with 11:22 to play in the opening half.

Marywood responded with a 16-0 run over the next 3:50 led by six points from both Mathew Medici (Princeton Junction, NJ) and Joshua Pena (New York, NY) to claim a 28-21 lead of their own.

The Cavaliers battled back to within a point on Lamar Fisher's lay-up with 5:23 to play, but the Pacers would extend their lead over the rest of the half and took a 41-31 lead into halftime, led by Medici's 16 points.

Prince Blacknall (Stroudsburg, PA) increased the host's lead to 13 points with 16:49 to play in the second half by draining a three-pointer, but the Cavaliers outscored the Pacers 17-7 over the next six minutes and closed to within a single point at 59-58 with 10:24 to play on Ryan Oxley's three-pointer.

Chadli Charlot (Lake Worth, FL) scored six points in the paint to help the Pacers to a 70-63 lead with 5:28 to play, but again Cabrini battled back to within a single point at 72-71 with 4:38 to play after Chris Blake followed up a three-point play with a pair of free throws.

Marywood's Karl Anderson (Macungie, PA) scored the next six points of the game to give the hosts some breathing room and the Pacers hit 11 of 12 free throws over the final minutes to secure the win.

Medici led six Pacers in double-digits with 22 points on the evening while Anderson finished with 18. Prince Blacknall netted 16 points while adding team-highs of eight rebounds and five assists. Charlot finished with 11 points while Pena and Sidney Tharpe (Victorville, CA) each contributed 10 points for the Pacers who, after shooting just 28 percent from the floor in Tuesday's win over Penn State-Schuylkill, nearly doubled that output by connecting on 55 percent of their shots from the floor on Thursday.

Cabrini got a game-high 30 points from Kevin Misevicius who connected on 12 of 26 attempts from the floor and finished with a double-double after snagging 10 rebounds. Washington added 16 points for the Cavaliers while Oxley finished with 10. The Cavaliers, who got a game-high six assists from Fisher, shot 38 percent from the floor while dropping to 9-3 on the season and 3-1 in conference play.

Marywood returns to the court on Monday evening when they host Neumann College in CSAC action. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Insalaco Arena.
