BOX SCORE

La Plume, PA – Marywood University saw its three-game winning streak snapped by Keystone College as Jessica Kobesky and Leah Simko each netted 17 points to lead the Giants to a 64-55 victory in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Monday evening. With the win Keystone moves to 9-7 overall and 4-4 in the conference, while Marywood falls to 10-7 and 5-4 in the CSAC.

The visiting Pacers built a lead as large as five points in the first half before the Giants put together a 12-1 run to take a six point lead with just under six minutes to play in the opening half. The Pacers would chip away and knot the game at 28-28 before the half on a Mariah Schaeffer (Bainbridge, NY) three-pointer.

Marywood would regain the lead in the second half, but were unable to extend their lead beyond four points. Keystone would take back the lead for good with 6:32 to play when a Burke field goal made it 47-45.

A three-pointer by Simko and a lay-up by Yasmeen Bates would extend the lead to six with 4:18 to play. The Pacers would not draw any closer than three points the rest of the way.

Lizzy Green (Shenandoah, PA) poured in a game-high 20 to lead the Pacers, while Schaeffer added 15 in a losing effort.

Keystone's Kobesky was 7-8 from the field and a perfect 3-3 from the charity stripe, while Simko hit on 8-17, including the team's lone three-pointer. Danielle Burke added 10 for the Giants.

Keystone shot 42.3 percent from the field on the night, while Marywood struggled throughout shooting only hitting on 27.2 percent of their attempts, and Schaeffer's three-pointer at the close of the first half was the only of the Pacers' 16 attempts from beyond the arc to fall on the evening.

Marywood next travels to Baltimore, MD this Saturday afternoon to take on the College of Notre Dame in CSAC action. Tip-off between the Pacers and Gators is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
