BOX SCORE

Scranton, PA – Nyack College scored the first 11 points of Saturday evening's non-conference basketball game at Marywood University and never looked back on their way to a 74-55 victory in Scranton. With the win, the Warriors improve to 6-2 on the season while the Pacers see their record fall to 4-4.

Nyack built an 11-0 lead over the first 3:19 of the game before Stephanie Fusaro's (Bala Cynwyd, PA) jumper got the Pacers on the board. The visiting Warriors responded with 12-0 run and held their largest lead of the half at 37-6 with 7:27 to play in the period and would hold a 49-23 lead at halftime.

Nyack, who was led by Shelly Yount's 16 first half points, shot 54 percent from the floor in the opening stanza, including 58 percent from three-point range.

Marywood, who was a perfect eight for eight from the free throw line in the first half, struggled from the floor, connecting on just 22 percent of their field goal attempts. Amanda Lass (Brackney, PA) led the Pacers with eight first-half points.

Nyack opened the second half with a 9-2 run to build their largest lead of the game at 60-24 with 16:24 to play, but Marywood used a 17-1 run that included three three-pointers from freshman Lauren Rogan (Archbald, PA) over the next six minutes to narrow the deficit to 61-41.

The Pacers were unable to pull any closer however, at the visitors responded with a 11-0 run over their own to dash any hopes of a Marywood comeback.

Victoria Sweet registered a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Warriors, Yount matching Sweet's 18-point effort. Kelsy McIntosh (14 points) and Christy Porter (12 points) also hit double-digits for Nyack.

Mariah Schaeffer (Bainbridge, NY) netted a team-best 13 points for Marywood while Rogan netted 12 points for the Pacers. Lass finished with a team-high eight rebounds for the Pacers.

Marywood will return to the court on Monday evening when they host Hunter College in a non-conference tilt scheduled to tip-off at 7:00 p.m. in the Insalaco Arena.
