Baltimore, MD – Marywood University used a 20-4 run late in the second half on their way to a 75-65 win over the College of Notre Dame in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon. With the win, Marywood improves to 11-7 on the season and 6-4 in conference play while the Gators see their record fall to 7-9 overall and 4-5 in the CSAC.

Notre Dame would lead by as many as seven points midway through the first half before the Pacers rallied to tie the game at 37-37 with just under two minutes left in the opening stanza. The Gators were able to close out the half with a made jumper and free-throw by Kierra Scott to take a 40-37 lead into the locker room at the break.

The Gators, who shot 39.5 percent from the floor in the first half, were led by 13 points from Scott and 10 from Kendra Baldwin.

Marywood shot 41.9 percent from the floor in the stanza and Lizzy Green (Shenandoah, PA) and Mariah Schaffer (Bainbridge, NY) each scored seven first-half points to lead the Pacers.

In the second half, Marywood would take a slim 53-51 advantage with 10:17 remaining in regulation before breaking the game open with their 18-2 run over the next 9:49 to take a 71-53 lead en route to the key conference victory.

Schaeffer finished the afternoon with 17 points to lead Marywood and also led the team with 9 rebounds and five assists. Green netted 13 points in the win while Caitlin Ely (Montrose, PA) came off the bench to tally 10 second-half points and 12 for the game for the Pacers.

Marywood's bench the Gators' reserves 19-2 in the second half and 31-6 for the game.

Notre Dame, who shot just 23.8 percent from the floor in the second half, got a game-high 18 points from Scott. Baldwin finished the game with 16 points while Khadija Mitchell was the third Gator in double-figures with 14 points.

Marywood returns to action on Monday evening when the host conference foe Gwynedd-Mercy College at 6:00 p.m. in the Insalaco Arena.
