Scranton, PA - Marywood University got goals from five different players in a very strong offensive showing as the host Pacers extended their program record unbeaten streak to 12 games with a 5-0 win over visiting Baptist Bible College Tuesday afternoon in Scranton. Marywood improved to 7-0-1 in CSAC action with the win and slid into sole possession of first place thanks to a Centenary College loss to Immaculata. Baptist Bible fell to 9-8 (5-4 CSAC) on the year.

Lisa Hanselman broke open a scoreless game in the 15th minute with her team-leading 15th goal of the season as the senior from Manheim slid into the far post to re-direct a cross from Siobhan Blancaflor (Haddam, CT) into the back of the net. Just over four minutes later, fellow senior Lisa Gavin (Woodbury Heights, NJ) doubled the Pacers' lead with a close range shot off a feed from Olivia Habicht (Woodcliff Lake, NJ). With just over twelve minutes left in the half, Caitlin Light (Annville, PA) put Marywood up 3-0 after running onto a loose ball that got behind the BBC defense and sliding it past Defender keeper Melanie Wiliams.

In the second half, Blancaflor took a long thru-ball from Olivia Habicht and put it past Williams into the far post for a 4-0 Marywood lead. The hosts then made it 5-0 when Habict finished a close range shot to give her a goal to go along with her two assists on the day.

Marywood held a commanding 28-6 advantage in shots, 21 of which were placed on goal. Williams recorded 16 saves on the day, while Marywood's Meghan Coyle (Endicott, NY) made two stops to collect her third, and team's fifth, shutout of the year.

Marywood (11-2-1) can clinch the top seed in the upcoming CSAC playoffs with a win at Immaculata University this Saturday. Game-time is set for 12:00 pm.
