Scranton, PA – Marywood University out-shot Neumann University 21-3 in the opening half but needed three second half goals to break open a tight game on the scoreboard as the Pacers picked up their seventh straight win by topping the visiting Knights 4-0 in CSAC women's soccer action Saturday afternoon in Scranton. Freshman Olivia Habicht had two goals and an assist as Marywood improved to 7-2 (3-0 CSAC) on the year. Neumann fell to 5-5-1 (1-2 CSAC) with the loss.

Despite dominating the visitors over the opening minutes of play, Marywood could not find the back of the net until the 14:44 mark of the opening half when Habicht (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) netted her fourth goal of the season by following a powerful shot by senior Lisa Hanselman (Manheim, PA). Hanselman's blast from six yards out was blocked by Knight goalkeeper Jacqueline McAllister, but Habicht was there to put the rebound into the back of the net for a 1-0 Marywood lead.

The score remained that way until the second half despite the hosts out-shooting their counterparts by a 21-3 margin. McAllister had twelve first-half saves to keep the visitors in the game.

Tayler Simmons (Hopewell Junction, NY) doubled the Pacers' lead just over twelve minutes into the second half, scoring unassisted with a shot over McAllister's head from just over 20 yards out. Senior Lisa Gavin (Woodbury Heights, NJ) scored her first goal of the season off a feed from Habicht in the 81st minute to make it 3-0, and Habicht closed the scoring in the 85th minute by dribbling through the 18-yard box before ripping a shot that McAllister could not handle.

Meghan Coyle (Endicott, NY) made three saves and shared a shut-out with Dominique Kozuch (Jermyn, PA) and Jessica Shotwell (Philadelphia, PA). Neither Kozuch or Shotwell were forced to make a save. McAllister finished with 16 saves in 90 minutes of action for the Knights.

The Pacers will host Centenary College in a key CSAC match-up Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 pm. Marywood and Centenary are the only two teams with unblemished conference records.
