Scranton, PA – You would think something had to give. Both Marywood and Centenary entered Tuesday's CSAC women's soccer game with unblemished marks in conference play, the Cyclones coming in 4-0 and Marywood entering at 3-0. Both teams were riding six-plus game win streaks, with visiting Centenary on a six-game tear and host Marywood riding a seven-game streak. After 110 minutes of play, nothing has changed as the Pacers and Cyclones battled to a 1-1 deadlock.

After a scoreless first half which saw the host Pacers take a 9-2 advantage in shots, the visiting Cyclones (10-1-1), ranked 7th in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region poll released today, picked up the offensive pressure and broke the scoreless deadlock in the 75th minute when transfer Jazmine Farrell found the back of the net after receiving a through ball from Caitlin Veverka. The Cyclones nearly put the game away minutes later, but Marywood keeper Meghan Coyle (Endicott, NY) came up with a huge diving save to her right to keep the Pacers down just one.

In the 84th minute, Jennifer Slesinski (Middletown, NY) slid a pass to Siobhan Blancaflor (Haddam, CT) and the freshman connected over the head of Cyclone keeper Ashley Denti for the game-tying goal, her fifth of the year.

In overtime, Marywood out-shot the visitors 5-3 and nearly finished the game with under two minutes to play when Olivia Habicht's (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) shot rang off the post.

The game itself was not the only thing to end in a deadlock, as the Pacers and Cyclones were even in virtually every category. Marywood out-shot the visitors 25-23 while Centenary placed 14 strikes on goal to Marywood's 13. Coyle made 13 saves while Denti came away with 12, including two brilliant reaction saves by the post.

Marywood (7-2-1 overall) returns to action Saturday when they visit the College of Notre Dame in Maryland for a 3:00 pm CSAC match-up.
