Scranton, PA – Andrew Pinnella scored an unassisted goal just 1:10 into overtime to lift Centenary College to a 1-0 win in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's soccer action on Wednesday evening. With the win the Cyclones improve to 4-7 on the season and 1-2 in conference play while the Pacers see their record slip to 3-6-1 overall and 1-1 in the CSAC.

Marywood held the better of the play in the opening 45 minutes of play, out-shooting Centenary 4-2, but where unable to find the back of the net thanks to three saves from Cyclone goalkeeper Jason Rogers. Marywood's William Gordon (Harrisburg, PA) had the best look of the half, but his shot from eight yards out sailed over the crossbar.

The second half was much more evenly played, with both teams generating several quality scoring chances. Marywood nearly took the lead midway through the period, but Nathan Wenger's (Lititz, PA) header hit the near post.

With just over three minutes to play, a Centenary midfielder fired a long-range shot that was headed for the upper corner of the net, but Marywood netminder Jared El Gayeh tipped the ball of the bar to keep the game level.

After 90 minutes of scoreless play, the Centenary would need just 1:10 to pick up their first conference victory. A Cyclones' corner kick was cleared to the top of the 18 yard box where Pinnella ripped a one-time shot that El Gayeh had no chance at stopping, giving the visitors the win.

Marywood suffered its first conference defeat despite finishing the game with a 10-7 advantage in shots and holding a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.

El Gayeh finished the evening with six saves while Rogers ended the game with thee stops to notch the shutout.

Marywood will look to get back into the win column this Saturday when they visit Keystone College for a CSAC match-up scheduled to kickoff at 1:00 p.m. in La Plume.
