Dallas, PA - Marywood University placed three players in double figures as the Pacers downed Penn State Hazleton 83-56 Friday evening to advance to the Laurel Line Championship game Saturday night.  There, Marywood will meet host Misericordia University who advanced past Baptist Bible 81-55.  The Championship game will be played Saturday night at 8:00 pm at Misericordia's Anderson Center in Dallas.

Down 20-17 midway through the opening half, Marywood (2-0) used a 8-0 run to take a lead they would never relinquish.  The Pacers went 13 of 28 from the floor in the opening half while the Lions shot 9 of 19.  From there, Marywood expanded their lead throughout the second half with a barrage of three-pointers.  Marywood, who connected on just two of eight from behind the arc, found their stroke in the second half and went 8 for 14 from long distance to take a commanding lead.

The Pacers converted 23 Penn State turnovers into 31 points and only allowed 13 points off their 17 miscues.  Marywood's bench out-scored that of the Lions by a 34-12 margin, while the Pacers out-rebounded Penn State Hazleton 56-39 on the night.

Lenny Martin (Wilkes-Barre, PA) had a team-high 17 point on 8 of 11 shooting from the floor.  Jacques Robinson (Athens, GA) added 15 and was 3 of 5 from three-point land, while Tyler Reinhard (Highlands, NJ) added 12 on four three pointers.  The Lions were led by Reills Reichwein's game-high 21-point effort.  Teammate Brandon Boekel added 13 in the losing effort.

The win puts Marywood in the Laurel Line Championship game for the second year in a row.  Last year, the Pacers claimed the championship trophy with a 61-58 win over the host Cougars.
