LaPlume, PA - Marywood University erased an 19-point Keystone lead with just five minutes remaining only to have two last second three-point attempts fall short as host Keystone College held on for an 80-77 CSAC win over the Pacers Saturday afternoon in men's basketball action.  The win moves the Giants 4-2 (3-0 CSAC) while Marywood drops their third straight and falls to 3-4 (0-3 CSAC).

Marywood found themselves down by 19 after a traditional three-point play by Keystone's Ryne Luce with 5:06 remaining in the game but battled back to within eight (72-64) on a jumper by James Lavan (Plains, PA) with 2:44 left.  The Pacers would then trim the Keystone lead further, finding themselves down just six (75-69) with 1:53 left after John Foreman (Sleepy Hollow, NY) got two of his 16 points on the night at the charity stripe.  After several intentional fouls by Marywood and missed opportunities to seal the game on the line by the Giants during the final minute of action, Marywood got to within five on a pair of Antre Cole (Tobyhanna, PA) free throws.

After Cole made it a four-point game (79-75) on the line, Foreman grabbed an offensive rebound and converted the put-back to put Marywood down three, 80-77, with 10-seconds remaining.  Lavan would miss a three-pointer with three seconds left for Marywood, but the Pacers were able to foul quickly and put Keystone back on the line.  A missed front-end of a one-and-one opportunity gave Marywood one last-ditch effort, but a full-court shot by Tyler Reinhard (Highlands, NJ) also fell short.

Keystone had a 14-point halftime advantage and held a double-digit lead through much of the second half but hit just 12 of 28 free throw attempts in the second half as Marywood climbed back into the game.  The Giants hit 46% of their shots from the floor on the night while Marywood hit at a nearly 40% clip.

Jacques Robinson (Athens, GA) had a game-high 18 poitns on five of 11 shooting from the floor and hit 50% (3 of 6) of his three-point attempts for Marywood.  Foreman finished with 16 while Lavan had 14.  Chadli Charlot (Lake Worth, FL) had 10 rebounds to lead the Pacers on the glass.

Keystone placed five players in double-digits as Tercel Taylor, Malcolm Boone and Luce all had 16 points on the night.  Kenneth Hardnett added 15 while Troy Robinson had 11.

Marywood returns to action Monday when the Pacers travel to Aston to face Neumann University at 7:00 pm in CSAC action.
