The sweep improves the Pacers to 9-5 overall and 4-2 in CSAC while GMC falls to 2-12 (1-3). Senior Mallory Gable earned her fourth complete game win of the year to improve 4-0 on the mound for Marywood in the nightcap.

In game one, Marywood did all of their damage in one inning as the Pacers earned an 11-2 win. GMC's Rachel Smull opened the second with her second triple of the year, and would score on a two-out error to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.

The Pacers responded in the third when Colleen Regan (Endwell, NY) doubled and a hit batsman and fielder's choice loaded the bases for Caitlin Hadzimichalis (Harmony, NJ). The senior shortstop ripped a doubled down the left field line to clear the bases and give Marywood a 3-1 lead.

An outfield error on Ashley Dommes' (Scranton, PA) fly to left scored Hadzimichalis from second to make it 4-1, and Kim Lope (Clifton, NJ) beat out an infield single to give Marywood runners on first and third with no outs. After Lope stole second, Miranda Sorber (Hunlock Creek) squeezed an infield single to score Dommes and advance Lope to third to make it 5-1 and Lope would score on an Brittany Davis (Scranton, PA) sacrifice fly to right as Marywood built a 6-1 lead.

Caitlin Ely's (Montrose, PA) infield single made it 7-1 and Erika Cook's (Wyalusing, PA) two-run double to center made it 9-1. Hadzimichalis followed Cook with her second double of the inning to score Cook and would score herself on Dommes' single to left to give Marywood an 11-1 lead.

Nikki Belles (Rome, PA) picked up her second win of the year for Marywood with a complete game, five-inning effort. Belles allowed three hits and one earned run while striking out three on the day. Hadzimichalis finished the opener with two doubles and four RBI, while Cook was 1-3 with a double and 2 BRI. Dommes and Regan also each picked up a double.

Lemm was 1-2 with an RBI for GMC in game one, while Brianna Seckinger took the loss on the mound after two innings of work. Seckinger allowed four earned runs on five hits while striking out two and was replaced for the final two innings by Lemm. Lemm allowed four runs in relief, but none were earned.

In the second game, Cook led off the home half of the first with a triple to right center and would score on a double-steal to give Marywood a 1-0 lead. Jill Flanagan (Monroe, NY) would plate two more runs for the Pacers with a double to deep center field and would score on a routine grounder to short as the Pacers built a four-run lead after one full inning of play.

The Griffins threatened to cut into the Marywood lead in the top of the fourth when Ali Gurko tripled to right center with one out, but Gable got a strikeout and groundout to first to end comeback attempt. From there, Gable struck out the side in the fifth and Davis hit her second round-tripper of the year over the centerfield fence to extend the Marywood lead to 5-0.

Gwynedd got one back in the fifth when Rachel Smull advanced home on a throwing error after a Gurko single to right but Marywood's Cook turned a double-play after catching a liner and gunning down Gurko at third. Marywood went back up by five (6-1) when Lope doubled to right center to score Ely in the bottom of the sixth.

Gable (Hughestown, PA) pitched her fourth complete game of the year to remain unbeaten at 4-0. The senior hurler struck out 10 Griffin batters in the nightcap while allowing just five hits. Susan Miller (0-5) took the loss on the mound for GMC.
