LaPlume, PA - With a showdown with Centenary College for a possible bye come playoff time looming this Friday, Marywood took care of business to remain in a tie atop CSAC standings, picking up their tenth and eleventh conference wins of the season with a doubleheader sweep of Keystone Tuesday afternoon in LaPlume.  Marywood, who won the opener 6-1 and the nightcap 14-4, improves to 18-7 (11-3 CSAC) while Keystone fell to 8-18 (6-8 CSAC).

Kaitlyn Brennan (Taylor, PA) picked up five RBI on the day and was 3-5 at the plate with a homer in each game.  Mallory Gable (Hughestown, PA) remained unbeaten on the mound with yet another complete-game, this time only needing 4.2 innings in the nightcap as Marywood took advantage of the eight-run mercy rule in a 14-4 win.  Gable, now 8-0 on the year, struck out five on the day in the win.  Nikki Belles (Rome, PA) evened her record on the mound at 4-4 with a win in the opener, allowing just three hits and one run while striking out four in the complete-game effort.

Despite being down 1-0 after three full in the opener, the Pacers' bats awoke in the top of the fourth as Marywood got a four-run inning to take the lead, thanks in large part to Brennan's three-run homer.  Marywood would add insurance runs in the fifth and sixth to take a 6-1 win.

In the nightcap, Marywood's bats would remain hot as the Pacers scored all 14 runs over the first three innings highlighted by a seven-run second and six-run third.  Ashley Dommes (Scranton, PA) and Kim Lope (Clifton, NJ) also homered for the Pacers in the nightcap while Erika Cook (Wyalusing, PA) and Kim Flanagan (Monroe, NY) each doubled.

Currently Cabrini is 11-1 in conference play with their only loss coming from Marywood and Centenary College is 8-2.  On Friday the Pacers and Cyclones will meet with the winner likely securing at least a bye in the first-round of playoffs later this month.  Game-time in Hackettstown is set for 3:00 pm.
