Scranton, PA - Marywood University got their first win of the season despite letting in two early goals as the Pacers scored four unanswered to defeat Delaware Valley College 4-2 Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's soccer action. The win is the first of the year for Marywood (1-2) while the Aggies remain winless at 0-4.

Delaware Valley, despite being out-shot 36-7 on the day, got a pair of early goals that could have easily swayed the outcome. Just over five and a half minutes in, Dana Gentile scored on a hard-angled shot from five yards out that Marywood keeper Meghan Coyle (Endicott, NY) could only get a finger-tip on. Two and a half minutes later, the Aggies were awarded a corner kick and Kara Fecanin promptly put home a rebound to put the visitors up 2-0 in the early going.

Marywood responded quickly though, tying the game with two goals in the next thirteen minutes. Caitlin Light (Annville, PA) got her first of two goals on the day when she finished a thru-ball from Olivia Habicht (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) at the 13:33 mark. Senior Lisa Hanselman (Manheim, PA) then registered her first tally of the season 6:30 later on an assist from Lisa Gavin (Woodbury Heights, NJ). With just over three minutes to play in the first half, freshman Erin Doyle got the eventual game-winner when she put away a thru-ball from Lacey Habicht (Woodcliff Lake, NJ).

Light finished the scoring on the day with a one-time finish off a cross from Jenn Slesinski (Middletown, NY) in the 51st minute. Coyle registered one save on the day and was replaced in the final minutes by Dominique Kozuch (Jermyn, PA), who did not see a shot. Elizabeth McQiuillan made 10 stops in goal for the Aggies.

Marywood will enjoy a week off before returning to non-conference action next Saturday in Williamsport with a 1:00 pm game against Lycoming College.
