Immaculata, PA - Marywood University made quick work of host Immaculata University with only the one-singles match going past two sets, as the visiting Pacers earned their first win of the year, a 9-0 triumph over the host Mighty Macs Tuesday afternoon outside of Philadelphia.  The win improves Marywood to 1-5 (1-2 CSAC) on the year while Immaculata remains winless in five contests (0-2 CSAC).

Marywood won at 1-3 doubles by scores of 8-4, 8-2 and 8-0, respectively, to quickly jump out to a 3-0 lead.  In six-singles action, Elizabeth Sullivan (Binghamton, NY) blanked Lauren Drinkard 6-0, 6-0, while Beth Schneider (Port Jervis, NY) allowed just one point to Kelsey Piliero in a 6-0, 6-1 win at two-singles.  Ashley Karli (Blandon, PA) needed three sets to defeat Erika LaMarch at one-singles, but the sophomore earned a super-tiebreaker win, 5-7, 6-1, 10-4.

The Pacers, who played three matches in three days, will enjoy a much needed five-day break before returning to action next Monday against Conference power Cabrini College at 3:30 pm in Scranton.
