Scranton, PA –  Casey Dellostretto recorded a hat-trick and Dottie O'Neil added two goals to lead visiting Gwynedd-Mercy College to an 8-0 win over Marywood University in Colonial States Athletic Conference play on Wednesday evening. With the win, the Griffins improve to 4-3 on the season and 2-0 in conference play while the Pacers slide to 1-5 overall and 0-1 in the CSAC.

O'Neil would put Gwynedd-Mercy ahead 7:22 in the Wednesday evening's game by deflecting home a shot from Kayla Farrow. Dellostretto doubled the Griffins lead at the 25:18 mark after finding the back of the cage after a dribbling past several Marywood defenders. Kerri Boon knocked home a pass across the goal mouth by Erin Gorenflo with three minutes to play in the opening 35 minutes of play to give the visitors a 3-0 lead at halftime.

Marywood looked to try to climb back into the game early in the second half, but Griffin goalie Kate Eschbach made a sprawling save to deny Marywood's Amber Mohrmann (Prompton, PA) a goal. Dellostretto netted her second goal of the game less than five minutes later to give Gwynedd-Mercy a commanding 4-0 lead.

The Griffins would score three goals in a seven-minute span to build a 7-0 lead before Olivia Wilson capped the scoring with an unassisted marker with 2:02 to play.

Gwynedd-Mercy held a 21-7 advantage in shots for the game and a 9-2 edge in penalty corners. Eschbach, Kaylin Bassett, and Ashley McGinty combined to make six saves for the Griffins while Marywood's Jamie Bowman (Cheshire, CT) turned in an eight-save performance.

The Pacers will travel to Radnor, PA this Saturday to take on Cabrini College in a CSAC match-up slated to begin at 3:00 p.m.
