Radnor, PA – Cabrini College scored four unanswered goals after Marywood grabbed a 1-0 lead to defeat the visiting Pacer 4-1 in CSAC field hockey action Saturday afternoon in Radnor. With the loss, Marywood falls to 1-6 (0-2 CSAC) while Cabrini improves to 2-7 (1-0 CSAC).

Marywood jumped out to a 1-0 lead just seven minutes into the game when Carly Bergstrom (Raritan, NJ) scored off a rebound. That lead would be short-lived, however, as the Cavaliers responded with two goals in a seven minute span to take a 2-1 lead into intermission. The first Cabrini score came in the 18th minute when Maura Gordon finished a rebound. Then, just under seven minute later, Lindsay Atzert scored off an assist from Gordon.

Gordon would give the hosts a 3-1 lead six minutes into the second half and Shannon Mulhern would put the hosts up 4-1 for good in the 62nd minute.

Marywood goalkeeper Jamie Bowman (Cheshire, CT) made three saves while Cabrini keeper Vicky King stopped one shot.

Marywood will look to snap their six-game skid this Tuesday when the Pacers travel back down to Philadelphia to face off with Rosemont College at 4:00 pm.
