Radnor, PA – Lisa Hanselman scored two goals and Marywood University scored three second half goals en route to their fifth consecutive win, a 4-2 victory over CSAC foe Cabrini College, Saturday afternoon in Radnor. Marywood improves to 5-2 (2-0 CSAC) on the year while Cabrini falls to 2-5-1 (0-1-1 CSAC).

Hanselman (Manheim, PA) got the Pacers on the board early when the senior broke down the line and received a nice feed from Lisa Gavin (Woodbury Heights, NJ) who settled a long ball out of the back from Shannon Hresko (Gibbstown, NJ). Hanselman promptly beat Cavalier net-minder Gianna Porretta with a 20-yard strike when she came off her line. The Pacers would take that lead into halftime despite missing two golden opportunities to extend their lead. Fortunately for Marywood, Cabrini also missed an opportunity to tie the game when Sabina DeGisi hit the post after slipping through the Pacers' back-line.

DeGisi would get her revenge, however, as the junior broke through and scored off a feed from Annmarie Kolla nearly 12 minutes into the second half. Tied at 1-1, Marywood would reclaim the lead in the 68th minute with Hanselman's second goal of the game which was headed in off a free kick from Hresko.

Freshman Olivia Habicht (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) would get the eventual game winner, and give the Pacers a bit of breathing room, when she scored unassisted with a 25-yard strike that Porretta could not handle. Maddy Edwards had a beautiful strike for Cabrini from 25-yards out in the center of the field to make it 3-2 in the 82nd minute. Edwards' strike hit the far post before careening into the goal.

The Cavalier comeback would not last however as Marywood junior Jennifer Slesinski (Middletown, NY) finished off a centering pass from Siobhan Blancaflor (Haddam, CT) just over two minutes later to put Marywood back up by two, 4-2.

Marywood out-shot the hosts 21-9 on the day and keeper Meghan Coyle (Endicott, NY) made five saves in a winning effort. Porretta made eleven saves in 90 minutes of action for the Cavs.

Marywood will close out their four-game road trip within a six-day span this Sunday with a trip to Madison, New Jersey to face FDU-Florham. The non-conference tilt is set for 1:00 pm on the Devils' turf field.
