Madison, NJ – Senior tri-captain Lisa Hanselman netted a goal in each half, giving her seven tallies this week, as visiting Marywood won their sixth straight game with a 2-0 non-conference victory over host FDU-Florham Sunday afternoon in Madison, New Jersey. Marywood got through the toughest part of their schedule, a stretch that included four away games within a six-day span, with an unblemished 4-0 mark.

Hanselman (Manheim, PA), who tallied two goals in Saturday's win over conference foe Cabrini, went to work in the 19th minute, turning from the corner of the 18-yard box and placing a beautiful left-footed shot to the far post. The rest of the half remained a stale-mate, however, with neither team being able to capitalize on several chances. Host FDU held a slight 5-3 advantage in shots in the opening half and had four corner kicks to none for the visitors.

The second half started out much the same, with Marywood controlling a little more of the offensive play and out-shooting the Devils 10-7. In the 77th minute, Siobhan Blancaflor (Haddam, CT) received a feed in the center of the field and laid a nice pass off to the side to a streaking Hanselman, who promptly buried her team-leading ninth goal of the season past Melanie Pierson.

From there, Marywood's defense limited FDU opportunities and goalkeeper Meghan Coyle (Endicott, NY) picked up her first solo clean slate of the year with seven saves on the day. The Pacers improved to 6-2 with their sixth straight win while the Devils fell to 4-4-1 and had their three game win streak snapped.

Marywood enjoys a six-day stretch before returning to the friendly confines of their home field next Saturday, October 3 with a 2:30 pm CSAC match-up with Neumann University.
