Nyack, NY – Division II Nyack College placed four players in double-figures and dealt Marywood University an 81-35 loss in non-conference women's basketball action on Thursday evening. With the win, the Warriors lift their record to 8-5 on the season while the Pacers slip to 8-3.
 
Nyack opened up a 30-15 lead 12 minutes into the game and would extend their advantage to 43-18 at the end of the first half.  The Warriors shot 44.1 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes of play and drained nine three-pointers while limiting Marywood to just six first half field goals.
 
The Warriors went on to outscore Marywood 38-21 in the second half to claim the 81-39 win, shooting a hot, 60 percent from the floor while the Pacers struggled offensively, connected on just 25 percent of their field goal attempts.

Nyack, who had 12 different players get into the scoring column, was led by Courtney Peay, Kelsy McIntosh, and Lekesha Harris who each tallied 12 points in the win. Peay had a game-high 11 rebounds to finish with a double-double while Gretchen Tobias added 11 points for the Warriors.

Lauren Rogan (Archbald, PA) led Marywood with 12 points while Mariah Schaeffer (Bainbridge, NY) added 10 points in a losing effort for the Pacers. Lizzy Green (Shenandoah, PA) had a team-high six rebounds.

Marywood returns to the hardwood on Monday evening when they host Baptist Bible College, a week to the date after the Pacers downed the Defenders 82-44 in Clarks Summit. Monday's game will tip-off at 6:00 p.m. in the Insalaco Arena.
