Scranton, PA – Lizzy Green scored a career-high 25 points to lead Marywood University to a 65-57 victory over local rival Keystone College in Colonial States Athletic Conference action Thursday evening. With the win, the Pacers remain unbeaten at home while improving to 12-4 on the season and 6-1 in the conference while the Giants see their record slide to 4-13 overall and 2-8 in the CSAC.

The first 10 minutes of Thursday's game was a seesaw affair in which the two teams swapped the lead eight times before Marywood would take an 18-16 lead with 8:17 left in the first half on a lay-up by Green (Shenandoah, PA). The Pacers would stretch their lead to as many as five points, but Keystone battled back to take a 25-23 lead with 2:28 remaining on a jumper by Melinda Moore. Lauren Rogan (Archbald, PA) responded with a three-pointer to put Marywood back in front and after Sarah Barreto hit the front end of a pair of free throw shots to tie the game, the Pacers would score the final four points to close out an exciting first half that featured 11 lead changes with a 30-26 lead.

Marywood opened the half with a 6-0 run to build a ten-point lead at 36-26 and would stretch their advantage to 16 points after Green converted a pair of free throws with 11:06 to play. Keystone clawed their way back into the game, trimming the Pacers' lead to 58-53 on Moore lay-up with 2:50 to play. Marywood's defense held strong though, holding the visitors off until Jazmine Harris scored a harmless lay-up with five seconds remaining to close out the scoring.

Marywood, who beat the Giants 58-49 on December 5th in Clarks Summit, was led by Green's 25-point, nine rebound performance. The senior center shot 10 of 14 from the floor and was 5-7 from the free throw line. Rogan finished the game with 13 points and Mariah Schaeffer (Bainbridge, NY) netted 12 for the Pacers, who shot 36.9 percent from the field and 63.6 percent from the charity stripe.

Keystone was paced by Moore's 16-point effort and got double-figures from Barreto (15 points) and Ellen Fallon (12 points). Yasmeen Bates pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds for the Giants, who shot 37 percent from the field and 78.9 percent from the free throw line.

Marywood returns to the hardwood this Saturday when they visit Gwynedd-Mercy College in a CSAC game scheduled to tip-off at 2 p.m. in Gwynedd Valley.
