The win improves Marywood to 7-2 in league standings and keeps the Pacers in third place in conference standings with one match remaining. The Falcons fell to 6-6 overall and 5-4 in CSAC play. Marywood won at one and two doubles by identical 8-3 scores, then earned an 8-0 win in three doubles from Beth Schneider (Port Jervis, NY) and Lindsay Burke (Yorktown, NY) to take a 3-0 lead into singles play. There, the Falcons would get two points with wins from Sarah Wicks (one singles) and Amy Dichter (three singles) but Marywood closed out the match with wins at two, four, five and six. Schneider downed Alex Kuebler 6-2, 6-0 while freshman Erika Von Zup (Tannersville, PA) was a 6-1, 6-0 winner. Burke blanked her opponent at five singles 6-0, 6-0 and Aubrey Klesh (West Hazleton, PA) closed out the wins for the Pacers witha 6-1, 6-0 win at six singles.
