Clarks Summit, PA- Marywood University scored three goals in each half and senior goaltender Meghan Coyle collected her ninth clean slate of the season, setting a new school record, as Marywood blanked the Lady Defenders of Baptist Bible College 6-0 in today's Colonial States Athletic Conference women's soccer game.

After getting on the board early the Pacers stayed in front and controlled the game as they remain in first place in the CSAC with an 11-4-1 overall mark and 8-1 league record. As the season winds down, the loss drops the Lady Defenders to 6-8 on the season and 2-5 in the conference.

The Pacers got a goal from Emma Nye (Keene, NY) less than two minutes into the game. Olivia Habicht (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) freed herself on the outside and crossed the ball to Nye who finished for her first goal of the game.

Two more goals, less than thirty seconds apart midway through the first half, pushed Marywood to a 3-0 halftime advantage. On a shot from outside the box Siobhan Blancaflor (Haddam, CT) placed a ball into the back of the net. Then Erin Jones (Vestal, NY) scored her first goal of the game when she weaved her way through the defense putting the ball into the goal.

Marywood kept up their offense force in the second half as the Lady Defenders struggled to get on track. Jones scored her second goal fifteen minutes into the second half after she received a pass from Nye. A few minutes later Nye got on the board for a second time when Blancaflor slipped her a pass through the middle. Habicht scored the final goal of the night as she collected a Caitlin Light (Annville, PA) cross from the right side that was tipped by the keeper.

Meghan Coyle (Endicott, NY) went the distance in goal for the Pacers making 1 save in her ninth, and team's tenth, shutout of the season. Coyle's clean slate broke an individual season record of eight shutouts she set in both 2007 and 2009. Cierra Byron and Karin Mowry split time in net. Byron made 10 saves in sixty minutes, and Mowry finished up with 5 stops.

Marywood closes out their CSAC regular season with a 3:30 pm contest against Neumann University Saturday in Scranton.
