Scranton, PA – Marywood University's volleyball dropped a pair of matches at the College of Notre Dame on Saturday and saw their record fall to 13-8 on the season and 6-3 in Colonial States Athletic Conference play. The Pacers fell three games to one to the host Gators in a CSAC match before the University of District of Columbia overcame a two games to none deficit to down Marywood 3-2 in a non-conference match. 

In Saturday's opener, Marywood took the first set 25-23, but the College of Notre Dame rattled off wins of 25-21, 27-25, and 25-22 to claim the CSAC battle and improve to 16-8 on the season and 5-4 in conference play.

The Gators were led by Catherine Subrizi's 19 kills to go along with 18 from Margie Maresca. Cory Santos dished out a match-high 44 assists while Christina Kudrna led the College of Notre Dame with 32 digs.

Marywood's attack was paced by Erica Krakosky's (Forty Fort, PA) 12 kills in the match. Alyssa Hartranft (Mountain Top, PA) handed out 39 assists for the Pacers while Rachel Tolllett (Elkins Park, PA) contributed a team-high 30 digs.

In the nightcap, Marywood built a two games to none lead with wins of 25-16 and 25-19, but the University of District of Columbia rallied with decisions of 25-21, 25-19, and 15-13 to claim the come-from-behind victory to improve to 16-5 on the season.

Grace Perilli (17 kills) and Karen Trevino (16 kills) led the Firebirds' attack while Grace DeMichelis had a match-best 35 assists and Ashley Jefferson led UDC with 22 digs. 

The Pacers' Emily Fillman (Clarion, PA) matched Perilli for a match-high with 17 kills. Leanne Feeney (Wappingers Falls, NY) had 32 assists to lead Marywood with Tollett recording a match-best 23 digs.

Marywood returns to the court on Thursday when they host Baptist Bible in Colonial States Athletic Conference action. The match will feature a Dig Pink, breast cancer awareness fundraiser with a basket raffle, service contest, and prizes to be given away.
