Scranton, PA - Marywood University tied their CSAC quarterfinal game with Keystone College twice but the Giants got a goal from Kelsey Drozda as time expired to beat Marywood 3-2 Saturday afternoon in the Colonial States Athletic Conference playoff game. The third seeded Giants improve to 10-8 overall and advance to Wednesday's semifinal round while Marywood, the sixth seed, sees their season come to a close.

Drozda scored to open the day on a feed from Hope Krolewski at the 7:12 mark. Neither team could muster much offense the remainder of the half as the Giants out-shot Marywood 4-3 in the opening stanza but the Pacers held a 4-3 advantage in penalty corners. Just over fourteen minutes into the second half, Marywood knotted the game at 1-1 when Emily Eremo (Factoryville, PA) found the back of the net on a penalty corner.

Just over six minutes later, Keystone reclaimed the lead when Lori-Ann Marino scored on a feed from Laura Rosenkrans. The Pacers (3-13) responded at the 68:00 mark when Kathryn Morin (Hopedale, MA) scored unassisted to tie the game at 2-2.

Seconds from overtime, the Giants got the game-winner from Drozda on a feed from Samantha Morgan in the 70th minute. Jamie Bowman (Cheshire, CT) made two saves on the day for Marywood while Keystone's Melinda Moore made one stop.

Keystone advances to face second-seed Gwynedd-Mercy College Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
