Wilkes-Barre, PA - Swimming together competitively for the first time, Marywood University put up a solid showing but fell short to host King's College as the Monarchs beat Marywood 83-73 in Marywood's first ever men's swimming contest.  Chris Brown won the 200 yard IM while Ryan Widenor won the 100 yard butterfly to lead Marywood.

Brown (Mechanicsburg, PA) had splits of 28.25, 35.23, 37.23 and 33.73 to finish in 2:14.44, three seconds ahead of Justin Weilert from King's.  Widenor (Peckville, PA) finished a full ten seconds ahead of Weilert in the 100 yard butterfly, touching in 56.46.

Michael Stauffer (Nesquehoning, PA) won the 100 yard backstroke for Marywood in a time of 1:03.87 while Benjamin Raines (Scranton, PA) finished third. 

Eric Stencovage captured first place in both the 50 freestyle (23.90) and 100 breaststroke (1:04.03) to lead King's. Other first place finishes for King's included Jack Harrington in the 100 freestyle (54.81), Joshua DeBellas in the 500 freestyle (5:35.09), and the 200 freestyle relay team of Harrington, Stencovage, DeBellas, and Joe Wescoat.

Marywood returns to action November 9th when they travel to nearby Misericordia University.
