Allentown, PA - Marywood University picked up their seventh win of the season, and sixth by shutout, as the Pacers cruised to an 8-0 win over host Cedar Crest College on a rainy Wednesday afternoon in Allentown. The Pacers got two goals and two assists from Olivia Habicht as they improved to 7-3-1 and 4-1 in Colonial States Athletic Conference play. The Falcons fell to 0-10 (0-5 CSAC) with the loss.

Marywood jumped out to a 3-0 halftime lead on goals by Siobhan Blancaflor (Haddam, CT), Habicht (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) and Emma Nye (Keene, NY).  Habicht assisted on Blacaflor's tally and again on the last goal of the game as Nicole Davis (Slate Hill, NY) scored her first collegiate goal.

Just over four minutes into the second half, Habicht gave the Pacers at 4-0 cushion with her second tally of the game.  From there, junior Tayler Simmons (Hopewell Junction, NY) took over, scoring two unassisted goals just six and a half minutes apart. On the first, Simmons intercepted a pass just outside the 18 yard box, dribbled in and fired a left-footed shot to the far post for a 5-0 Marywood lead. In the 64th minute of play, Simmons took the ball into the left corner of the 18, cut to her right foot and slipped a shot past the Cedar Crest keeper for her second goal of the day.

Sisters Kaitlyn and Shannon Hresko (Gibbstown, NJ) combined for the seventh Marywood goal after Andrea Barker (Binghamton, NY) slotted a pass to Shannon Hresko down the right wing which Shannon crossed into her sister Kaitlyn who headed the cross home to the near post.

Goalkeeper Meghan Coyle (Endicott, NY) made seven saves and earned the shutout win.  Marywood out-shot the hosts 62-7 and established a new program record with the 62 shots, 35 of which were on goal. Both set new program marks, besting a mark they set on September 23, 2008 when Marywood fired 51 shots at the Falcons, 30 of which were on goal.

Marywood returns to action tomorrow night as they host Kean University (7-2-2) in non-conference action at 7:00 pm.
