Pacers Improve to 9-2 With Victory at Keystone

La Plume, PA - Marywood University's women's tennis team improved to 9-2 on the season with a 9-0 win over Keystone College in a Colonial States Athletic Conference match on Thursday afternoon in La Plume. Marywood has now won six consecutive matches and is now 6-2 in conference play.
 
Marywood took a 3-0 after doubles play, led by the team of Kara Hoff (Montoursville, PA) and Melissa Hudock (Pitman, NJ) who claimed an 8-4 decision at number one singles. Lindsay Burke (Yorktown, NY) and Beth Schneider (Port Jervis, NY) teamed up for an 8-0 win at number two doubles and the pair of Lauren Fersch (Netcong, NJ) and Elizabeth Sullivan (Binghamton, NY) picked up an 8-1 win at number three doubles.
 
Hoff, Huddock, Burke, Sullivan, and Fersch all picked up 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles play while Schneider claimed a 6-3, 6-4 triumph at number two singles, dropping the Giants to 1-8 on the season (1-6 CSAC)
 
Marywood returns to action next Wednesday when they host Cedar Crest College in a CSAC match scheduled for 3:00 p.m. in Scranton.
