Langhorne, PA - Marywood University's defense blanked their conference opponents for the fifth time this season and still have only allowed two goals in league play as the Pacers routed host Philadelphia Biblical University 7-0 in Colonial States Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon just outside of Philadelphia.  The win moves the Pacers to 8-4-1 (5-1 CSAC) while the Crimson Eagles fell to 3-10, 2-3 CSAC.

After nearly a half hour of scoreless action to start the game, Siobhan Blancaflor (Haddam, CT) tallied her team-leading eighth goal of the season in the 28th minute off a dual assist from Caitlin Light (Annville, PA) and Emma Nye (Keene, NY).  Just over ten minutes later, Jessica Cosentino (Port Jefferson Station, NY) blasted home her second goal of the season, an unassisted tally from just outside the 18 and over the out-stretched hands of PBU's Kristen Lyszczasz.

Lyszczasz would make several fine saves in the first half to keep the score close, but with just :54 remaining in the opening half Blancaflor would find Olivia Habicht (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) for the game's third goal.

Six minutes into the second half, Habicht, who has a team leading six assists, found Erin Jones on a beautifully placed cross.  Jones (Vestal, NY) settled the ball on her left foot while spinning towards goal and fired a one-time shot past Lyszczasz to the far post from just inside the 18.  Habicht would put Marywood up 5-0 with her second goal of the day, and sixth of the season, in the 60th minute.

Light would pick up her first goal in twelve games by finishing a cross from Erin Doyle (New Hampton, NY) and Josephine Hall (Dillsburg, PA) netted her first collegiate goal in the 75th minute off a feed from Tayler Simmons (Hopewell Junction, NY) for the final goal of the game.

Meghan Coyle (Endicott, NY) made three saves to earn her sixth shutout of the season in net.  The Pacers defense has only allowed two conference goals all year, both of which came in a 2-1 loss to Cabrini.  In all, seven of eight Marywood wins have come with a clean slate.

Marywood, who is tied atop the league standings with Cabrini with a 5-1 mark, returns to action Wednesday when they travel to nearby LaPlume to face Keystone College at 3:30 pm.
