Meet Results

Seven different Misericordia University swimmers won individual races to lead the Cougars' women's swim team to a 122-71 win over Marywood University on Tuesday night at Dallas in Misericordia's Anderson Center.  Katie Paterson was one of several Marywood winners to perform well on the night, winning two events for the Pacers for the second consecutive meet.

Stephanie Pugh (200 free), Kiana Ramirez (50 free), Brittany Luzik (200 IM), Laura Rinehimer (200 IM), Alicia Bryk (100 free), Breanna Grzech (100 back) and Katlyn Nelson (100 breast) were individual winners to lead the the Cougars.

Marywood's Paterson (Clarks Summit, PA) was victorios in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:16.19 and later won the 500 yard free style with a time of 5:32.15.  Vanessa Szilangy (Bloomsburg, PA) placed second in the event with a time of 6:11.33.  Jessica Fain (East Islip, NY), Sara Rigoliosi (Bloomingdale, NJ), and Jamie LaPointe (Hughesville, MD) swept the first three spots in the 100 yard breaststroke with Fain winning the race in 1:35.25 while the team of Paterson, Szilangy, Keri Bensley (Matamoras, PA) and Alyssa Desiderio (Warrington, PA) claimed the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:53.95. 

Misericordia's Grzech, Nelson, Lindsey Young and Holly Welsh teamed to win the 200 medley relay and Megan DiPalo, Brianna Hiltey, Luzik and Chelsea Mixon combined to win the 200 free relay. 

Marywood will next compete at the College of Notre Dame this Saturday in Baltimore, MD at 1:00 p.m.
