Langhorne, PA - Philadelphia Biblical University hit a shot at the end of regulation to force overtime and from there the host Crimson Eagles took over and claimed a 84-77 win over visiting Marywood University Thursday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's basketball action.  Both teams now stand at 5-12 in CSAC play.  Marywood falls to 9-15 overall while PBU improved to 7-17.

The Crimson Eagles used a last second running scoop shot from point guard Brett Zamroz to send their game with Marywood University into extra sessions.  During a feud that featured 21 total ties and lead changes, the Crimson Eagles utilized efficient marksmanship from the field to help the group snatch their fifth conference win of the season. By the time all was said and done, PBU shot at a 50.8 percent clip for the game while limiting the visitors to a 37.3 mark.

But none of that would have been made possible if it weren't for a last second off-balance prayer sent up from Zamroz inside the paint.

Down two with 4.9 seconds to go, Zamroz went coast to coast before slicing into the paint to throw up an off-balanced running left-handed floater. To the delight of PBU's two seniors along with the Crimson Eagle fan faithful, it went in.

With momentum heavily favoring the host squad, PBU seized the moment early in the additional frame, rattling off the fist six points of the overtime session. A 9 for 13 effort down the stretch would crunch any hope of a Marywood comeback as the Crimson Eagles would win the period, 17-10.

Despite surrendering 21 offensive rebounds to the Pacers while giving up 18 second chance points in the process, the Crimson Eagles proved to be hounding on defense, forcing the visitors into 29 turnovers for the game.

The host group watched five players score in double figures during the win - the first time that feat has been achieved all year. Miller had arguably his best game of the season, leading the way with 22 points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists.  Nate Schrader shot 6 for 10 from the field ending with 13 points, and Zamroz, Fuller, and sophomore Luke Talyor added 12, 11, and 10, respectively.

D.J. Strayhorn (Henryville, PA) led the Pacers with a game-high 23 points on the night.  Chadli Charlot (Lake Worth, FL) converted a double-double with 14 points and 16 rebounds, while Lenny Martin (Wilkes-Barre, PA) had 14 rebounds and Sidney Tharpe (Victorville, CA) had 12 points.

The two teams will face off once again this Saturday in Scranton in each team's regular season finale.  Tip-off at Marywood's Insalaco Arena is set for 3:00 pm.
