Box Score

Scranton, PA - Marywood University used an early second half run to break open an otherwise tight game and the Pacers went on to down Philadelphia Biblical University in the season finale for both teams, 76-63. Marywood closes the 2009-10 campaign with a 10-15 record (6-12 CSAC) while the Crimson Eagles finish at 7-18 (5-13 CSAC). Marywood honored seniors Chadli Charlot, Jerome Gosney and Sidney Tharpe prior to the game.

Marywood used a run mid-way through the first half to take a 33-22 lead, but a run by the Crimson Eagles, capped by a Willie Miller three-pointer at the buzzer, ended the first half with the Pacers holding a slim 39-36 lead. Miller's three-pointer, however, was just one of three PBU would convert on for the day as they hit just 3 of 11 from long-range.

Marywood extended their lead to double-digits early in the second half and kept the game out of reach for the rest of the way. Gosney (Binghamton, NY) finished with eight rebounds and four assists in his final game, while Charlot (Lake Worth, FL) had six points and six boards. Tharpe (Victorville, CA) had a game-high 24 points to close a stellar two-year career for the Pacers. D.J. Strayhorn (Henryville, PA) had 13 points and was one assist short of a double-double.

PBU placed three players in double-figures, led by Miller's 14-point day. Adam Derus added 12 and Nate Schrader finished with the game's lone double-double after a 10-point, 11-rebound effort.

Marywood honored their three departing seniors prior to the game. Playing in their last games as Pacers were Jerome Gosney (Binghamton, NY), Chadli Charlot (Lake Worth, FL) and Sidney Tharpe (Victorville, CA). Tharpe set Marywood's all-time single-season scoring record last season with 544 points.
