Aston, PA – Taylor McKeown had 11 points, including the 100th of her career, as Marywood University opened Colonial States Athletic Conference play with an offensive explosion to pick up a 25-7 win over Neumann University on Tuesday afternoon. The Pacers improve to 3-2 on the season with the win and 1-0 in the CSAC while the Knights see their record fall to 1-5 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

Allie Sodl (Coplay, PA) opened the scoring just over a minute into Tuesday's game with an unassisted goal before Neumann's Mary Kate Doherty leveled the score just under a minute and a half later. Kelly Kuzicki (Vernon, NJ) put the Pacers back in front by scoring of an Alexis Willey (Hummelstown, PA) assist with 26:58 to play in the first half, but the Knights again equalized on an Alex Bohen tally at the 24:38 mark.

Marywood would outscore Neumann 14-2 the rest of the half to take a 16-4 lead into halftime. Taylor McKeown (Nashua, NH) would lead the Pacers with six goals in the span, while Sodl added three tallies. Kuzicki, Willey, Kelly Kryspin (Hopatcong, NJ) and Jennifer Silvestri (Warwick, NY) would also score for Marywood during their first half run.

The Pacers would tack on five of the first six goals of the second half to put to rest any hopes of a comeback by Neumann, building a 20-5 lead with 23:01 remaining in the game.

McKeown finished the game with nine goals and two assist for 11 points, establishing new program records for goals and points in a game. The reigning CSAC Player of the Week became the first player in Marywood history to reach 100 points for her career by assisting on Willey's goal with 25:05 to play in the second half. McKeown, the 2009 CSAC Rookie of the Year, reaches the milestone in just 21 career games.

Sodl finished with 10 points on seven goals and three assists while Willey establish a new Pacer record for assists in a game with four while adding two goals for six points. Katie Sullivan (Merrick, NY) made 11 saves to pick up her third win of the season for the Pacers, who out-shot the Knights by a 50-20 margin.

Bohen led Neumann's attack with five goals while Tiffany Baker turned aside 19 shots for the Knights.

Marywood returns to action on Thursday evening when they take on King's College in non-conference action. Game-time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Wilkes-Barre.
