Scranton, PA - Sophomore pitcher Tim Freda pitched a six hitter as part of a complete game and freshman Nick Pasqualichio tied a single-game record with four singles as Marywood routed visiting Philadelphia Biblical University 22-0 in CSAC baseball action Friday afternoon in Scranton.  Marywood evened their CSAC record at 2-2 with the win and improved to 4-11 overall while the Crimson Eagles fell to 1-8, 0-4 CSAC.

Freda pitched all nine innings, scattering six hits and allowing just one double.  The Westbury, New York native picked up 10 strikeouts on the day while walking only two batters.  Marywood, who also scored 20 runs on Wednesday in a loss to Alvernia, belted out 20 hits on the day, all singles.  Freshman Nick Pasqualichio (Clarks Summit, PA) tied a single-game record set by Joe Diskin in that Alvernia game with four singles on the day, and Diskin (Clarks Summit, PA) tied a single-game record with three stolen bases.

Marywood jumped out to a 5-0 lead after one and would score in every inning but the fourth and fifth.  Pasqualichio led the way offensively, going 4-4 with three RBI.  David Lewis (Scranton, PA) had four RBIs as part of a 1-3 day at the plate.  Shawn Bramble led the Crimson Eagles with two hits, including a double. 

The Pacers and Philadelphia Biblical will complete their regular season series tomorrow in Langhorne with a doubleheader scheduled to begin at noon.
