Men's Tennis Extends Win Streak to Seven with Fifth Straight Shutout

Radnor, PA - Marywood University downed Cabrini College 9-0 in men's tennis action Saturday afternoon in Radnor to give the Pacers their seventh straight win and fifth consecutive shutout.  Marywood improves to 10-3 and remains unbeaten in CSAC play with a 5-0 mark while the Cavaliers remain winless on the year at 0-6 (0-4 CSAC).

Marywood jumped out to a 3-0 lead after winning all three doubles matches.  Greg Chilson (Mountainside, NJ) teammed with John Domider (Somerville, NJ) for the first time this year at the top doubles flight but the duo still handled their opposition easily, winning 8-4.  Daniel Pfafman (Stratford, NJ) and two-doubles partner Barrett Wentworth (Clarks Summit, PA) won 8-1, while Todd Doran (South Windsor, CT) and Wyatt Nolan (Montoursville, PA) teammed for the first time at three-doubles and came away with a 8-3 victory. 

Chilson then remained unbeaten in conference singles play with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Walter Jesuncosky at one-singles, while Evan Bolus improved to 5-1 at two-singles with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking of Justin Lutterotv.  The tightest match of the day came at four-singles, where Pfafman topped Jack Neary 7-5, 6-2.

Marywood will look to extend their win streak to eight matches when they return to the courts on Wednesday, April 15 at 4:00 pm in a non-conference match against Mt. St. Mary College of Newburgh, New York.
