Men's Tennis Routs Rosemont for Sixth Straight Win

Rosemont, PA - Marywood University allowed just three singles points and four more in doubles play en route to a 9-0 shutout win over Rosemont College in CSAC men's tennis action Monday afternoon outside of Philadelphia.  The win is Marywood's sixth in a row and moves them to 9-3 on the year including a 4-0 mark in conference play.  Rosemont, in their inaugural season, remains winless at 0-7 (0-3 CSAC).

Marywood raced out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play and won handily by scores of 8-1 at one and three doubles.  The Pacers took two-doubles by an 8-2 score.  In singles play, Greg Chilson (Mountainside, NJ) remained unbeaten in CSAC action at one-singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Patrick McElroy and Todd Doran (South Windsor, CT) and Bao Nguyen (Scranton, PA) won by the same score at three and six singles, respectively.  Daniel Pfafman (Stratford, NJ) and Ethan Jones (Lebanon, PA) both won 6-1, 6-0 for Marywood in the four and five spots, respectively, while Evan Bolus (Clarks Summit, PA) cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win at two-singles.

Marywood next visits Cabrini College on Saturday, April 10 in CSAC action.
