Marywood Playoff Times Announced

Aston, PA - The Colonial States Athletic Conference has announced the start times for three Marywood University playoff games this week.  The Men's and Women's Lacrosse teams both have semifinal playoff games with the men's game being played at Marywood while the Softball team will host a first-round playoff game Wednesday.  There is no admission fee for any of the events.

On Tuesday, the #2 seed Men's Lacrosse team will host #3 Gwynedd-Mercy College at 5:00 pm at the synthetic turf field.  The Pacers stand at 11-4 on the year and earned the 2-seed with a 5-1 CSAC record.  The Pacers beat GMC 9-8 in overtime in Gwynedd Valley in April.  The winner will play either top-seed Cabrini College or #4 Immaculata University on Saturday at the site of the highest remaining seed.

The Softball team earned the #4 seed and will host #5 Immaculata in a one-game first-round playoff this Wednesday at 4:00 pm.  The Pacers stand at 18-16 and were 15-7 in CSAC play.  Marywood and Immaculata split their doubleheader earlier this year in Philadelphia with Marywood losing the opener 7-3 before winning the nightcap 6-2.  The winner will travel to Neumann University in Aston, PA on Friday where the four remaining seeds will play Friday and Saturday to determine a conference Champion. 

Women's Lacrosse (9-8) is the #5 seed and is coming off a 12-6 win over #4 seed College of Notre Dame (MD).  The Pacers will now travel to face top-seeded Cabrini College Wednesday in Radnor, PA.  Game time is set for 4:00 pm.  The winner will advance to Saturday's CSAC Championship game at the site of the highest remaining seed.
