Doylestown, PA – Marywood University pressed late in the first half but it was an own goal on a failed clearance by a Delaware Valley College defender that gave the Pacers a 1-0 win Saturday afternoon in Doylestown. Lacey Habicht (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) sent in a cross from the corner and an Aggie defender mistakenly cleared it into the goal for the game's lone score.

Marywood (3-2-1) caught another break in the second half when the apparent game-tying goal by DVC was called back in lieu of an earlier defensive penalty on the Pacers. Rather than allowing advantage and the goal, the referee awarded the Aggies an indirect kick inside the 18 and the ensuing attempt sailed wide.

For the game, Delaware Valley (2-4-1) had ten attempts on goal to the Pacers' five. Meghan Coyle (Endicott, NY) made seven stops to preserve the shutout for Marywood, their second of the year. Julie Burnell (1 save) and Miranda Schieler (3 saves) split time in net for DVC.

Marywood returns to action Tuesday when they open conference play by hosting Gwynedd-Mercy College at 4:00 pm.
