Aston, PA – Marywood University topped Wesley College 3-1 on Saturday morning before dropping a 3-1 decision to Chestnut Hill College on the final day of the Knights Invitational. Pacers' freshman Rachel Tollett was named to the All-Tournament Team after leading the team with 64 digs on the weekend.

After dropping a pair of matches on Friday night, Marywood, now 6-4 on the season, responded with a win over Wesley on Saturday morning. The Pacers claimed the first game by scores of 25-18 and 25-17, respectively. The Wolverines took game three by a 25-20 score, but Marywood sealed the win by claiming the fourth game 25-19.

Emily Fillman (Clarion, PA) paced Marywood's attack with 10 kills while Megan Schilling (Ringtown, PA) added nine. Alyssa Hartranft (Mountain Top, PA) handed out 31 assists and 10 digs. Fillman had a team-best 14 digs while Tollett (Elkins Park, PA) registered 12 digs.

In the nightcap, the Pacers got off to a good start with a 25-21 win in the first game against Chestnut Hill, but the Griffins rattled off consecutive wins of 25-17, 25-23, and 30-28 to improve to 3-9 on the year.

Fillman again led Marywood's attack with 22 kills while Hartranft (Mountain Top, PA) dished out 42 assists. Tollett contributed a team-high 23 digs in the loss.

Marywood is idle until Wednesday, September 29th when they host Cazenovia College in a non-conference match scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the Insalaco Arena.
