Radnor, PA – Stephanie Campanaro's second goal of the game with 8:21 left in overtime sent host Cabrini College to a 2-1 win over visiting Marywood University Saturday afternoon at Cabrini's Edith Robb Dixon field in Radnor. Marywood falls to 1-6 (0-2 CSAC) with the loss while the Cavaliers move to 4-4 (1-1 CSAC).

Despite being out-shot 4-0 over the opening fifteen minutes of play, Marywood almost grabbed the lead when senior Brittany Beaton (Fleetwood, PA) stole the ball at mid line and went in on a breakaway, only to have her shot attempt sail wide of the goal. Cabrini and Marywood would head into halftime in a 0-0 deadlock after Marywood keeper Jamie Bowman (Cheshire, CT) made five saves to keep the game scoreless.

The second half saw more defensive play from the Pacers with Bowman continuing her strong play in goal. Cabrini nearly broke the game open with just over 11 minutes left when Maura Gordon riffled a shot from just inside the top of the arc, only to have it deflect off the post and out of bounds.

Cabrini finally got on the board with 6:26 left in the game when Stephanie Campanaro converted a penalty stroke for the Cavaliers after an infraction by the Pacers inside the arc.

Marywood University's Kathryn Morin (Hopedale, MA) answered with 3:57 left to knot the game at 1-1. Morin put home a loose ball on a one-timer after a scramble in front of the Cabrini goal. Morin's shot was Marywood's first on goal for the game.

Cabrini out-shot the Pacers 25-4 (18-2 on goal) on the day and held a 12-1 advantage in penalty corners. Bowman finished with 16 saves, while Cavalier goaltender Caitlin Donahue made one save to preserve the win.

Marywood will enjoy a week off before returning to the field next Saturday in Baltimore, Maryland as the Pacers take on the College of Notre Dame in CSAC action starting at 1:00 pm.
