Box Score

Radnor, PA – Cabrini College scored two goals in the final 23 minutes of play to erase a 1-0 deficit they faced for more than 65 minutes as the Cavaliers took an important early season meeting with a 2-1 win over Marywood University in CSAC women's soccer action. Cabrini (7-2, 2-0 CSAC) got a goal and an assist from Dana Nardello. Marywood fell to 4-3-1 (1-1 CSAC) with the loss.

The Pacers jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead after Lacey Habicht (Woodcliff Lake, NJ) ripped home a free kick from 25 yards out. The Pacers, however, could not capitalize on several other chances and loose balls in front to the Cavalier goal and the score remained 1-0 until the second half.

There, 23 minutes in, Nardello gathered a bouncing ball and beat Meghan Coyle (Endicott, NY) for the equalizer. Nearly 13 minutes later, Nardello found Kara Hinkelmon inside the box. Hinkelmon put a nice left footed shot to the near post for game winner.

In all, the Cavaliers out-shot Marywood 13-9 on the day. Coyle made four stops while Gianna Porretta made five saves for Cabrini.

The Pacers return to action Wednesday when they host Centenary College at 4:00 pm.
