Scranton, PA - Erica Von Zup and Lindsay Burke each blanked their singles opponents 6-0, 6-0 and Marywood picked up two key forfeit victories at three-doubles and six singles as the Pacers down a short-handed Rosemont College 6-3 in CSAC women's tennis action Wednesday afternoon.  Marywood upped their win streak to four as they improved to 7-2 (4-2 CSAC) while Rosemont fell to 2-5-1, 2-2 CSAC.

Burke (Yorktown, NY) and Von Zup (Tannersville, PA) each one 6-0, 6-0 at four and five singles, respectively.  The visiting Ramblers were down 2-1 after doubles play after Marywood's Kara Hoff (Montoursville, PA) and Melissa Hudock (Pitman, NJ) earned an 8-1 win at two doubles and the Pacers picked up a point with a forfeit win at three-doubles.  In one-doubles, the Rambler team of Olesya Kuchma and Karis Coad earned a hard-fought 9-8 (7-4) win to give the visitors a point going into singles play.

In singles play, Kuchma and Coad each earned wins at one and two singles to even the match at 3-3 but wins by Burke and Von Zup, along with a forfeit win at six singles, ended the match.  Hudock was also a 6-2, 6-1 winner for Marywood at three-singles.

The Pacers return to action Saturday when they travel to Baltimore, Maryland to face the College of Notre Dame in 1:00 pm CSAC action.
