Oneonta, NY – Junior Kaitlyn Hresko headed in a 40-yard cross off the foot of Lacey Habicht to cap a dramatic 2-1 overtime victory as Marywood rallied to top host Hartwick College Saturday afternoon at the Erinn K. Brozman Cup in Oneonta. Marywood's Siobhan Blancaflor scored with just over ten minutes left in regulation on another Habicht assist to knot the game at 1-1 and Hresko's overtime winner helped Marywood avenge a 3-2 overtime loss to the Hawks to open the 2009 season.

Julie Kessler put the hosts up 1-0 just over five minutes into the game when she collected a failed clear attempt, cut a defender inside the 18 and riffled a shot over the outstretched arms of Marywood keeper Meghan Coyle (Endicott, NY). Marywood (1-1) then controlled most of the tempo of the first half, allowing just one more Hartwick shot while taking six of their own.

Hartwick (0-1) got some dangerous chances early in the second half but could not get the ball past Coyle again on the day. Coyle made several tip saves over the cross bar on dangerous crosses and volleys and stopped a point-blank shot from a Hartwick forward midway through the second half.

Down one with just under fifteen remaining, a tactical change for Marywood put more pressure on the Hawk's back line, a move that would pay off when Blancaflor (Haddam, CT) was slotted a ball down the left flank from Habicht (Woodcliff Lakes, NJ) and beat a Hartwick defender before slotting Hawk keeper Alyssa Rondo for the tying goal.

After one scoreless overtime which saw each team take two dangerous shots only to have each keeper come up big, Marywood was awarded a direct kick at the bottom of the circle with two minutes remaining. Habicht sent a long cross in to the far corner of the six and Hresko's (Gibbstown, NJ) header beat the charging Rondo for the game-winner.

Marywood out-shot the hosts 14-13 on the day while the Hawks had a 7-3 advantage in corners. Coyle finished with five saves in 108:38 of action while Rondo collected three saves.

Marywood will seek their third Brozman Cup title Sunday when they take on Utica College at 1:00 pm.
