Radnor, PA - Cabrini College won two of three doubles matches and won the first four singles matches as the Cavaliers took an important early season meeting from Marywood University with a 6-3 victory over the Pacers in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's tennis action Tuesday afternoon in Radnor.  The Cavaliers remain unbeaten at 3-0 (1-0 CSAC) while Marywood was handed their first loss of the season and falls to 3-1 (1-1 CSAC).

The hosts would jump out to an early 2-1 lead after doubles play to gain an early advantage.  Marywood got their lone point of doubles action when Lindsay Burke (Yorktown, NY) and partner Beth Schneider (Port Jervis, NY) shut out their opponents at three-doubles, 8-0. 

Schneider would get a default victory at five singles to even the match at 2-2, but the Cavaliers won at one through four singles play to take home the win.  Cabrini cruised in matches at one and four singles play but Marywood's Caili Nizamis (Baldwinsville, NY) put up a good fight before falling 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 in three sets.

Marywood returns to action Saturday when they host Gwynedd-Mercy College in another CSAC match at 1:00 pm.
