Gwynedd Valley, PA - Jon Crabtree scored a game-high 24 points to lead four Griffins in double figures and host Gwynedd-Mercy College connected on 52% of their shots for the game as GMC topped visiting Marywood 81-58 in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's basketball action Thursday evening.  Marywood was led by Jacques Robinson's 14-point effort.

The Griffins (8-4, 3-2 CSAC) hit 14 of 27 shots from the floor (51.9%) in the first half to build an 11-point lead at the break.  The hosts never trailed as they build a nine-point lead (21-12) just over ten minutes into the game.  Marywood clawed back to within four over the next five minutes of play and found themselves down 29-25 after a layup by Robinson (Athens, GA), but the Griffins responded witha  10-3 run to close the half.

A 13-2 run to open the second half sealed the win for the Griffins.  Crabtree led all scorers with 24 points on 7 of 13 shooting from the floor.  He also went 9 of 10 from the charity stripe.  Jon Hogga added 15 points while Dan DelConte (12 points) and Frank Champion (10 points) also hit double digits for GMC.

Marywood, who fell to 6-5 (2-2 CSAC) with the loss, got a team-high 14 from Robinson who was 5 of 8 from the floor with four three-pointers.  John Foreman (Sleepy Hollow, NY) added 13 points while Tyler Reinhard (Highlands, NJ) had 10. 

Marywood returns to action Monday when they host CSAC opponet Immaculata University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm in the Insalaco Arena.
