Pacers Handed Third Straight Defeat at Centenary

Hackettstown, NJ - Trailing 63-61 with 24 seconds left, Marywood University's Jacques Robinson drove the length of the court only to have his layup sail out of bounds, allowing host Centenary College to escape with a 64-61 win after a Max Hughes free throw.  A Lenny Martin desperation three-pointer went high and wide as the buzzer sounded.

Centenary (5-10, 3-5 CSAC) handed Marywood (6-7, 2-4 CSAC) their third consecutive loss. Rob Urie had a game high 13 points for Centenary while Corey Kearney (12 points) and Ludner Innocent (11 points) also reached double-figures. The Cyclones dominated the Pacers on the boards, out-rebounding the visitors 48-29 on the night.

Robinson (Athens, GA) led three Marywood players in double-figures with 11 points on 4 of 7 shooting. Robinson connected on three of four three-pointers. Tyler Reinhard (Highlands, NJ) and Matt Lepri (Tannersville, PA) each added 10. Lenny Martin (Wilkes-Barre, PA) had a game-high 10 rebounds.

Marywood will look to get back on the winning side of things Saturday when they host Rosemont College in CSAC action. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 pm in the Insalaco Arena following the women's 1:00 pm game versus the Ravens. Also on Saturday, both teams as well as the stomp, cheer and dance teams will honor their seniors, and Marywood's 15th class of Hall of Fame inductees will be introduced to the crowd.
