Hackettstown, NJ – Down 60-59 with 6:17 to play, Marywood University's women's basketball team closed Thursday night's game with an 18-2 run on their way to a 78-61 victory to put the Pacers in sole possession of the Colonial States Athletic Conference North Division standings. Marywood improves to 11-4 on the season with their fifth-straight win and 5-1 in conference play.

The Pacers led 37-26 at halftime after shooting 37.1 percent from the field in the first half while holding the Cyclones to 30.4 percent from the floor.  In a game that featured 10 lead changes, Centenary would battle back, erase their 11-point halftime deficit, and hold a 60-58 advantage with six minutes to play before Marywood went on their decisive run.

Four Pacers finished in double-figures, led by Mariah Schaeffer (Bainbridge, NY) who netted 20 points on 7 of 14 shooting from the floor and a 5-8 performance from the free-throw line.  The junior guard also added a team-high eight rebounds. Allison Bruet (Binghamton, NY) scored a season-high 15 points to go along with five boards and five assists while Jamie Halloran (Clarks Summit, PA) and Marielle Thorsen each finished the evening with 11 points for the Pacers.  Marywood shot 41.5 percent from the floor for the game and 74.1 percent from the free throw line.

Centenary, who fell to 7-7 on the season and 4-2 in the CSAC, was led by Jen Vasta's game-high 21 points.  Teammate Marissa DiStasio added a game-best 15 rebounds for the Cyclones, who shot 39.1 percent from the field for the game and 60 percent from the charity stripe.  Centenary turned the ball over 23 times, nearly twice as many as the Pacers' 12 giveaways.

Marywood will be back in action on Saturday when they host Rosemont College in a CSAC match-up scheduled to tip-off at 1:00 p.m. in the Insalaco Arena.
