Scranton, PA - Marywood University placed three players in double-figures and held off a pesky Rosemont College to snap a three-game losing streak as the Pacers captured a 66-61 win over the visiting Ravens Saturday afternoon in Scranton. Marywood evens their overall mark at 7-7 and improves to 3-4 in Colonial States Athletic Conference action with the win while the Ravens fall to 6-9, 4-5 CSAC.

Rosemont trailed by eight at halftime after hitting just 35.7% of their shots. Down 33-25 at the break, the Ravens came out and scorched the nets in the second half, connecting on over 58% of their shots (14 of 24) to outscore the hosts by three in the frame. But some timely jumpers and free throws allowed Marywood to keep Rosemont at bay for much of the second half.

The visitors would get back to within three (56-53) with 2:57 to play, but Marywood made 10 straight free throws down the stretch to seal the win. Jacques Robinson (Athens, GA) made six of those and finished with 12 points, tied for the team lead with Brent Keyes (Susquehanna, PA). Keyes went 5 of 10 from the floor and nailed two three-pointers and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.. Matt Lepri (Tannersville, PA) added 11 points, while John Foreman (Sleepy Hollow, NY) made seven of eight free throws, including four in the last minute of play, to finish with seven points.

Rosemont's Justin Chaney had a game-high 18 points on 8 of 13 shooting from the floor while teammates Nick Quigley (13 points) and Tremell Green (12 points) also hit double figures for the Ravens.

Marywood recognized their five seniors before today's game.  Honored were Tyler Reinhard, Christopher Cooper, John Foreman, Lenny Martin and Matthew Medici.

Marywood returns to action Monday when they travel to nearby Baptist Bible College for another CSAC match-up. Tip-off in Clarks Summit is scheduled for 8:00 pm.
