Aston, PA – Neumann University's field hockey team picked up a key Colonial States Athletic Conference win over Marywood University, edging the Pacers 1-0.  Chelsea's O'Donnell scored the game's only goal in the 64th minute to give the Knights the victory on their Senior Day while improving to 5-11 on the fall and leveling their conference record at 3-3.

The first half was scoreless with Neumann holding a slim, 4-3 advantage in shots in the opening period and a 3-2 edge in penalty corners.  The Knights would finally break the deadlock at the 63:18 mark as O'Donnell scored following a scramble in front of the Pacers' cage to give Neumann the lead.

Marywood put up a strong offensive effort over the final seven minutes of the game trying to equalize, but the Neumann defense was able to hold out.  Megan Scott recorded a key defensive save with just over two minutes left on the clock and Knights' goalkeeper Lindsey Kasecamp gave a stellar performance in net with seven saves which included a diving save early in the game to keep the Pacers off the scoreboard.

The Pacers finished the evening with an 11-7 advantage in shots and had 12 penalty corner opportunities to seven for the Knights.  Marywood's Carly Bergstrom led all players with five shots on goal, but Kasecamp was equal to the test every time.

Jamie Bowman took the loss despite making five saves in goal for Marywood, who falls to 3-10 on the season and 3-3 in conference play.
